As markets change and people continue seeking out new trends, the population also makes changes to keep up with the pace. Everyone wants to fit the new fashion, have the newest items on the market, and more commonly, keep up with the music on the radio. Many bands tend to change their sounds to keep up with what is popular at the time. Mouth Movements is an exception to the rule by following in the footsteps of notible and sometimes under-rated bands of the late 90's/early 2000 underground music scene. The band consists of the three original members (Travis Kammeyer, David Brown, Steve Gaskell) of the indie/rock band The Shape based out of Knoxville, TN and has set aside the pop rock sounds they had made a name for themselves with to compose a slower tempo, darker, and atmospheric rock sound. Being credited with five national tours and 300+ shows with The Shape, and more recently, a three week east coast/midwest tour as Mouth Movements, the group plans on touring extensively in the near future. Mouth Movements will begin recording their awaited debut LP in mid-August, which will be tentitively released in Nov/Dec 2006 on a label to be announced.
