My name is Elizabeth and I live near the University Area. I play the piano and the flute and also sing for weddings and receptions, special occasions, dinners, banquets, and other various events. I have a studio in my home where I give lessons for Piano, Voice, Flute, and Theory & Composing. I host recitals often and the students gain an array of knowledge from creating music expressively, to learning how music works, to enjoying it as a part of their everyday life. When opportunities arise, I take my students on group trips to concerts and performances so that they can be inspired while learning. Through my teaching and performances, I hope to be an inspiration to people. I hope that people not only get inspired to learn more about this wonderful art form, but also be motivated to finish what they start in life and to have goals and visions. I have been playing the piano for 14 years, the flute for 10 and singing for even longer. Giving up and abandoning your dreams when it gets tough is an option only for those who will hold themselves back. I have learned that anything good in life requires hard work and perseverance. I have also learned that without hard work and perseverance, my family, and close friends, that apathy and unwillingness settle in and lead me to no place other than frustration. Keeping music alive in my life has meant everything for my growth and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.
