Pablo Herrera

Chilean singer and songwriter Pablo Herrera started to get involved in show business after establishing a strong academic background in music. He recorded his debut album in 1983. The success of that independent record, called Despertar, allowed him to get a deal releasing 1986's Pablo Herrera and 1988's Rastros, getting the hit song "Entre Dos Paredes" when radio stations were looking for new local talent. In 1991, Pablo Herrera signed up to Polygram, recording Más Arriba, which came out with two new hits: "Amor Amor" and the album main title. After participating in Viña del Mar and OTI's Festivals, Herrera moved to the U.S. to make his following record, called Alto Al Fuego. Three years later, the singer teamed up with Roupa Nova's keyboardist Ricardo Feghali to produce Hasta La Luna, recorded between July and August of 1996 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During the summer of 1997, Pablo Herrera started touring all over Chile, playing along with Keko Yunge and Alberto Plaza. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
