Pale Divine

Taking their cues as evenly from the genuine doom of Sweden's Candlemass as the latter-day, psychedelic-tinged work of Chicago's Trouble, Glen Mills, PA's Pale Divine (not to be confused with the '90s ensemble by the same name) specialize in uncommonly energetic take on this normally slothful genre. Founded in 1997 by vocalist/guitarist Greg Diener and drummer Darin McCloskey, with bassist Jim Corl joining the following year, Pale Divine issued their debut album, Thunder Perfect Mind, to solid acclaim in 2001, then signed with Martyr Music for the release of 2004's nearly as well received Eternity Revealed opus. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
