Mexican heavy metal foursome Pigsty burst into the local scene in the mid-'90s. Led by guitarists Elias and Israel Cast, the band came in first place after participating in a local heavy metal contest in 1995, and later became one of the finalists in a Rockotitlan festival sponsored by Mexican rock magazine Subterraneo.
