Pilotdrift
Often compared to Radiohead for its epic, orchestrated rock, Pilotdrift is multi-instrumentalists Kelly Carr (primary songwriter and vocalist), Jay Budzilowski, Ben Rice, Eric Russell, and John David Blagg. After forming in Texarcana, TX, the band self-released Iter Facere in 2004, which caught the attention of Tim DeLaughter and Julie Doyle, both of the Polyphonic Spree and Good Records. The band became the first to be signed to Good other than the Polyphonic Spree and ended up sharing gigs with the large symphonic group. Pilotdrift's next album, Water Sphere, was released in September 2005. In support of that album, the band went on a North American tour with Supergrass in early 2006. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, All Music Guide
