formed in early 2008 as an acoustic duet, platte river rain quickly evolved past their folk music roots, and the addition of Benny Jones in October 2008 expanded the scope of the sound even more. With only a self recorded/produced "semi authorized bootleg demo", originally a job demo which secured spots at the North vs South festival in Kansas City,MO, and the Mid American festival In Benson,NE, the demo quickly became a requested item at shows. Platte River Rain is currently recording their first official release, hopefully to be released in early 2009
