Prophetix represents the combined forces of lyricists Eddie Meeks, Mello Melanin and DJ/Producer Jon Doe. Quite possibly one of the most seasoned and anticipated independent acts of iT's time, Soren Baker of The L.A. Times has described their work as "original music with substance and style". The self-proclaimed 'Bigguns' Meeks and Mello met as college freshmen at Southern Tech in Marietta, GA and their natural compatibility has put them on a grind for destiny ever since. Jon Doe ran into the two while he was a college radio DJ at Western Kentucky University. Shortly after graduation and a brief stay in Nashville to rock at Vanderbilt radio for one semester, he moved to Atlanta and linked up with Meeks and Mello. Prophetix as we know it was born.
