Qwentin
Qwentin started on October 20, 2003 featuring Drepopoulos Qwentinsson (bass), Gospodar Qwentinsson (guitar and vocals) and Qweon Qwentinsson (guitar and vocals). The plan was to create a subversion of rock music logic - through the absence of choruses, the use of different languages, the creation of unexpected song patterns. Cinema and the unexpected became Qwentin's main concern, and the absence of direct-speech communication with the public became their trade mark. As well as the colour black, dressing band members from head to toe - including eye and nail make-up. Band members claim to be brothers, all of them using the surname Qwentinsson, i.e., "the children of Qwentin". In 2005, they recorded the EP "Il Commence Ici" (tracklist: "Il Commence Ici", "Jornalisma" and "N.F.O. Kronikoj), featuring two new members: Vjlasson Qwentinsson (drums) and Morloch Qwentinsson (samples & programming). It was never properly released - just passed out from hand to hand. Later that year, these 3 songs were included in the EP "Uomo-Tutto", featuring two new tracks ("Uomo-Tutto" and "Chewbacca's Blues") and the videoclip for "Il Commence Ici" (directed by Ricardo Leal Pereira). The drum duties were now accomplished by Qartafla Qwentinsson, who was to leave the band by the end of 2005. And the EP ended up by not being released into the market - becoming just a physical showcase for the band's relations with record labels, show promoters and the press. After replacing Qartafla by Bárány Qwentinsson, the band began working on their first full-length record - and the first one to be released to stores. The album "Premičre!" (the French word for "debut", "movie opening") was recorded in the last quarter of 2006, with producer Daniel Cardoso (Head Control System), and is due to be released in October, 2007.
