musicjunkie5's Artist Review for Rachel Metter
""
This just can't be...
Alright, here is the scoop. Front woman with a sub-par voice. That is it, that is the demise of the band. However, I cannot leave my critique here, I must elaborate and make this constructive. So I will do my best.
First off, the band is based too much around Rachel. This is evident through both the name and the recordings. The band name is the name of the singer, and in the recordings we get to hear her vocals overpower every other instrument within the music. But wait, there is a solo.
Sadly, that solo could be done by my 8-year-old nephew who plays guitar as well. This song seems like it was thrown together quickly and no thought was put into the lyrics or the construction of the song. Give more room for the musicians to have fun, and play what they want to play.
If I was in a band, I could not settle for mediocrity.
Keep working at it, and get a new band name!
