DFan17902's Album Review for Rage Against the Machine

""
Good stuff.
When "Rage Against The Machine" was released in 1992, there was nothing else around that sounded like it. The band essentialy invented the "Rap-Metal" or "Rapcore" subgenre, and this album still remains the best in the genre. Most of the songs on the album blend Metal-style riffing with rap beats and vocals extremely well. Almost every song on the disc is great, but the best are "Killing In The Name", "Take The Power Back", "Know Your Enemy" (which features Maynard James Keenan from Tool), and "Wake Up". Tom Morello's solos and guitar effects are like nothing ever heard before and are among the most inventive sounds ever created by any guitarist. A must-have album for any Rock or Metal fans.

Rage Against the Machine's follow-up sophomore release was pretty much what fans and critics had expected. Once again the band was tight and consistent, offering up 11 tracks of rally-style songs.
