Reflection
The first Japanese signings to London's notorious Clear Records, Reflection seem to have more on their minds than simply updating '80s electro with the tweak of '90s technology. A production trio of Ichiro (programming) and Kenji Taniguchi (programming, occasional guitar) with supervisor Nobukazi Takemura, Reflection deals in intelligent electro, working in flourishes of everything from bossa nova spice to acid squelching -- basically any style of exotica within reach of the last forty years. The group's first release for Clear was mid-1997's Transparent EP, after which came their debut album, The Errornormous World. Hot on its heels appeared a remix album, The Morerroronus World, with contributions from 4 Hero, As One, Plaid, Morgan Geist and Hidden Agenda. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
