Ricardo Montaner
Latin pop singer Ricardo Montaner was born in Argentina but raised in Venezuela, debuting in 1990 with a self-titled LP for Polygram. Subsequent efforts including 1992's Los Hijos del Sol, 1994's Cada Dia and 1995's Viene del Alma launched a series of hits like "Yo Que Te Ame," "Ojos Negros," "Dejame Llorar" and "Sera," and by the time of his 1997 Warner Music International debut Es Asi, Montaner had sold over six million records worldwide. Con La Metropolitan London Orchestra, a collection of re-recorded hits, followed in 1999. Soy Tuyo appeared in early 2001. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
