Roger Neumann
A colorful arranger, Roger Neumann has released only two albums by his "Rather Large Band" (one in 1983 and the other in 1993, both for SeaBreeze), but they are both memorable. A jazz educator based in Los Angeles with experience playing tenor with Woody Herman (1967), Bob Crosby, and Anita O'Day, Neumann has contributed arrangements for his wife/singer Madeline Vergari, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Ray Brown, and even the Beach Boys. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
