Rroland

James Lucas, also known as Rroland, started his musical adventures back in the late '70s, when he played in a California-based punk band. Dedicating the following decade to the punk rock enterprise, it was only in 1995 that he conceived his first move into the experimental style, recording Cortez, a four-track demo. In 1997, Rroland founded the Castlerobertson record label and eventually managed to record his first full-length record. Substantial Reports of Airplay appeared in 1998, one year before the release of Trapped Under the Tor. The EP Momusissus showed up in November 1999, months before the start of yet another musical enterprise, Reflections on a Past Life, an EP offered in 2000, again subliming his sharp creative power. Reflections on a Past Life As Played on the Roland Synthesizer, Rroland's debut album for the American Patchwork record label, hit record stores in 2001, confirming his breakthrough creative conceptions. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
