A native of Arkansas, Sally Shuffield brought a varied background to bear on her career as a folk singer/songwriter, including a master's degree in anthropology and work for the environmental movement. Based in Durango, CO, she built up a following around the U.S., releasing her debut album, Backroads of My Mind, on Fanfare Records in 1999.
