Straddling the worlds of garage rock, punk, and pop, Boston's the Secret Channel includes drummer Jim Dias and vocalist / guitarist Eddie Gutierrez, both former members of the Statue Factor. Calling upon guitarist Peter Herman to join the group because of his understanding of all the switches on the Fender Jaguar guitar, the band quickly recorded and released their debut 7" in 2002. The debut single grabbed the attention of Punk Planet and the Village Voice while XM Satellite radio featured them on their Unsigned channel for three weeks along with the staff voting them one of the 12 finest bands in the U.S. The Have You Heard EP came out on I Hate It in 2003. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
