Servando Y Florentino
Venezuelan Latin pop duet Servando y Florentino was formed by brothers Primera, who were previously participating in a five-piece group called Salserin, recording a self-titled album, Salserin Con Mucho Swing, and a live record made in Caracas. Their major influence was their father, Alí Primera, who was a local singer/songwriter. In 1992, Servando and Florentino Primera played a role in a popular soap opera produced by Venevisión, called De Sol A Sol. It was in 1997 when Latin star Ricardo Montaner decided to sign them up, joining the act to Hecho a Mano, his own independent label, releasing Los Primera in 1998. A year later, the couple made a movie called Muchacho Solitario, issuing its soundtrack under the same name, followed by 2000's Paso a Paso. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
