Originally from Oklahoma, Shane was drawn to music from an early age. Shane started playing the fiddle in local talent contests when he was 10. Within a couple of years, Shane could be seen and heard playing the fiddle in various local country bands and bluegrass groups. As a teenager, Shane picked up the guitar and started writing his own songs. His unique style was developed by playing everywhere from bluegrass festivals to run-down honky-tonks (often sneaking in the back door to avoid getting busted for being under age). Shane has lived in the Twin Cities area for past 10 years, and after a long break from music has began to perform publicly again. Shane’s style has picked up influences from all kinds of music, and his stage presence includes a healthy dose of humor he honed while studying at the famed Brave New Workshop. But after all this, he will be the first to tell you – “I sing all kinds of songs, but as soon as it comes out of my mouth… it’s Country.”
