Heavily inspired by the likes of MxPx, Mr. T Experience, Screeching Weasel and The Descendants among others, Andy (vocals/ guitar), Jason (bass) and Mickey (drums) started their own brand of God-fearing pop-punk with Shorthanded. After releasing a self-titled seven inch in 1997, the "Simple" full-length in 1998 and the "Slice of Life" EP in 1999 all thanks to Boot To Head Records, Tooth and Nail Records caught up with the hype and inked a deal with Shorthanded in 1999, issuing Forever Yours a year later. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
