Side Chain is a one-man hard rock/metal band currently based in Singapore. Canadian-born Scott Dickson is the band's songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, and recording engineer/producer. What makes Side Chain's music unique is that anyone can obtain it (legally) for free - no strings attached. In fact, the band's debut album, "Drone Manifesto," which was initially released on 21 December 2007 (and re-released on 10 August 2008), is available for you to download completely free here at MP3.com! Prior to its re-release, the songs from Drone Manifesto amassed 438 collective plays and 2,709 collective downloads on MP3.com. Side Chain's music is influenced primarily by Dream Theater and Black Label Society, although Scott also draws inspiration from other metal artists like GNR, COC, Metallica, Sevendust, Velvet Revolver, and Disturbed, as well classic acts like The Eagles, Boston, Bad Company, etc. Scott is now in the process of recording Side Chain's second album, entitled "Lasting Impressions."
