Sister Soleil

The electronic-pop project Sister Soleil was primarily a vehicle for Chicago-based singer and composer Stella Katsoudas, who first surfaced as a backing vocalist on records from industrial acts including Die Warzau and Chemlab. In 1997 she released the EP Drown Me in You on her own Katharsis label; after it sold over 20,000 copies, Sister Soleil was signed to the Universal label, which issued the full-length Soularium in 1998. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
