Skantkin or Peter Malmstroem, started making scores for film in 1998, and in 2000 began releasing music. Peter have in recent years composed scores for a number of films. With his trademark evocative scores he is a thoughtafter composer and producer not only for film. Peters career in the music biz dates back to the begining of the 1990´es, and his playing on the piano even further. Skantkin have a unique sound, blending classical and jazz influences with large evolving ambient soundscapes. Constantly striving to make "music with soul" lots of influences can be heard in the tunes, and many have a distinct feeling that is often reflected in the title, - taking the listener on a journey of moods. The last cuble of years Peter have returned to his roots working almost solely on large scale filmscores (like last years "Life of Joe") with a few remix/producing for highprofile acts as "icing on the cake".
