Son, Ambulance

Multi-instrumentalist Joe Knapp is the singer/songwriter behind Omaha's Son, Ambulance, who split their debut release Oh Holy Fools with Saddle Creek labelmates Bright Eyes in early 2001. Knapp previously did various studio work with Bright Eyes, most notably sharing lead vocals with Conor Oberst on "A Line Allows Progress, a Circle Does Not," from 1999's Every Day and Every Night EP. Bassist Robert Little, drummer Jeff Koster, and keyboardist Jeff Tafolla help bring Knapp's pop vision to life, the group releasing their first full-length, Euphemystic, in fall 2001. ~ Matthew Isaac Kantor, All Music Guide
