Album Review for Sonata Arctica - Ecliptica
Although the site says otherwise, this is the band's debut release, and stands as one of their best. The songs are an amazing combination of 80's style heavy metal with rock and roll ballads.

This is a great album from a solid group of musicians. The instrumentation and vocals are all very well performed. It has a slight fantasy flavor as does most of Sonata's work which is nice. The music is at times both powerful and soothing.
