DFan17902's Album Review for Reckoning Night
""
Wow!
Another great Power Metal album, Reckoning Night is absolutely amazing! All of the songs on this album have the distinct Sonata Arctica feel to them. The solos on guitar and keyboard are all awesome and quite creative. Sonata favor melody over sheer speed, and they pull it off incredibly well. My favorite songs on the album are "Misplaced", "Ain't Your Fairytale", "The Boy Who Wanted To Be A Real Puppet", and "Wildfire". The only disappointing part of this album is the instrumental track "Reckoning Day, Reckoning Night" which is kind of useless on its own, but it does fit in nicely when listening to the entire album from beginning to end.

Album Review for Sonata Arctica - Ecliptica
Although the site says otherwise, this is the band's debut release, and stands as one of their best. The songs are an amazing combination of 80's style heavy metal with rock and roll ballads.

Album Review for Sonata Arctica - Winterheart's Guild
This is a great album from a solid group of musicians. The instrumentation and vocals are all very well performed. It has a slight fantasy flavor as does most of Sonata's work which is nice. The music is at times both powerful and soothing.

Album Review for Sonata Arctica - Silence
Sonata Arctica's debut release is a throwback to the soaring vocals and guitar of the '70s and '80s rock bands, as well as modern European metal bands.
