Steve Abercrombie is an experimental artist based in Athens, Georgia that has spent many years working his way into and out of numerous groups and genres. Abercrombie has lofty writing goals. On the one hand he wants to write music that has broad appeal, but on the other hand he wants to explore the unexplored and do something different and distinct. His goal is “to play music that is both accessible and challenging, to blur the lines between genres and create sound collages that offer something new each time they are heard.” Steve has recorded five independent Cd's since 2005. The material ranges from delicate folk songs to lo-fi keyboard and drum machine experimentation.
