Super Numeri
Based in Liverpool, the abstract avant-garde collective Super Numeri explores a fusion of experimental and rock allied to late-'60s/early-'70s innovators as widespread as Miles Davis and Can. The group was organized by multi-instrumentalists Pop Levi, Karl Webb, and Snap Ant -- who, between them, cover a full dozen instruments ranging from Farfisa to kalimba to viola to sitar. After recruiting ten or so more players, they recorded Great Aviaries and released the record through Ninja Tune in 2003. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
