Notorious San Francisco-based group, founded by Mark Pauline in 1978 whose performances intermesh grinding industrial music with a collection of immense creations whose purpose is to attempt, through one violent means or another, to destroy each other in the process of enacting satirical scenarios using available industrial technology. Performances have led to the group being effectively banned from Phoenix, AZ, Pauline himself being arrested, and a civil emergency being declared in Austria. During 2000, plans for a pair of pulsejet driven vehicles were developed, with intent to have them working in the ensemble in 2001.
