Swampdogs
http://homepage.hispeed.ch/Swampdogs Swamp Dogs - an intensely passionate blend of country-folk-rock music that sounds like it emerged from the mists of the swamplands of the southern states; not quite southern rock, but heady with its influence; not quite folk music, but teetering on its edge; not quite country, but there are just hints..... this is rock music as it used to be. The outcome is a heady stew that blends rock-a-billy with rock n roll, country & western and blues. Oh, and there’s a couple of surprises in there too. Raucous, Warren Zevon-styled vocals, walking bass lines, screaming lead guitars and passionate acoustic guitar.....you’ll find all of that. But you’ll also find lyrics and melodies that touch your heart in a way that your cardiologist just can’t reach. The Swamp Dogs are the songrwriting team of Alan Millen and Iain Duncan, who joined forces in 2004 to commit to writing roadhouse music for the 21st Century.

For a couple of aged rock n rollers the song Famous Last Words is a complete folky surprise. Acoustic guitar, synth, and the last words of famous people. Interesting selection. Raise a Glass just rocks, and Porkchop Woman....don't you just love her.
