The band, consisting of vocalist Kate Fenner, guitarists Chris Miller and Andrew Whiteman, saxophonist Gene Hardy, bassist Jason Mercer, keyboardist Chris Plock, organist Chris Brown and drummer Gregor Beresford, released three cassettes from 1987 to 1990: First Taste of Bourbon, If Hell Had a House Band and Sister Anthony. The group released their first album, Superior Cracklin Hen, for Yonder Records in 1992. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
