"Modestly powerful" is how a fan described the Decoration after seeing them live for the first time. It's an apt description of this unassuming San Francisco four piece and it's stuck with them ever since. From the humble beginnings of Tim Mitchell's 4-track project called Pink to the eventual formation of a proper band called Pinq (which changed to the Decoration in 2003), this band has been making provocative music that gets attention without demanding it.
