The Fuses, a post-punk four-piece from Baltimore, are known for their aggressive, minimalist sound. Combining elements of new wave, no wave, art punk, and political lyrics, they are often compared to Wire, Mission of Burma, and Gang of Four. The band formed in May 1997 and released their debut full-length, I Wanna Burn, in 1998. After releasing several 7'"s, they followed up with Are Lies in April 2000. ~ Alex Zorn, All Music Guide
