The Lustre Kings
Rockabilly guitarist Mark Gamsjager is the driving force behind the Lustre Kings, the band he formed in the mid-'90s to accompany his performances. Their debut album, 1997's Mark Gamsjager Rocks & Lustre Kings Roll, was popular in roots rock and rockabilly circles, giving Gamsjager the chance to perform with several of his contemporaries. The band continued to hire itself out to parties and wedding while working on new material, eventually surfacing in 2000 as Once a King, Always a King. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
