Following the success with releases like "Shexy" on Subsky and Yunus' Red Flag label, and "Poetic Penetration on UK legendary label Lost Language under the collaborative name "Espen&Elusive", one would think that the guys had the world figured out once and for all.. Meanwhile their mothers met in secret, deciding it was time to have a serious chat with the boys, calling their music ballad-prog, predictable, lacking in the hihat department.. Hiding their shame and disgust with themselves, Espen & Elusive took a Freudian turn and decided to dress like women and make music the way only perverted, mentally deranged and generally afraid would. Hence the birth of the new duo: The Panty Hoes. An alternate story about the project that is also based on true events: After already spending years collaborating under the name “Espen & Elusive”, the boys – Espen and Elusive being their respective names – realized, during a moment of deep contemplation, that there is truth to the old saying: “the one that taketh dance music seriously is the absolute fool.” Lars: “I think our most memorable tunes are the ones where we were saying ‘this is **** and we like it!’. Espen: “I hate it when I spend ten hours on a kick and snare – time is money, and there’s no money in dance music.
