With their inspiration of AC/DC, Motorhead and Electric Frankenstein, Mike Motorfinger (guitar/vocals), Martin Rocket (bass) and Ryd (drums) got together The Rockets in 1997 for the purpose of importing a heavy metal sound to their native Denmark. On top of the blunt energy of three chord punk, The Rockets released a handful of seven-inches the following year after their formation. This includes The Very First Ride EP, Voltage Demons and Electric Superinvention.
