Sign is a super non-team that assembled for Signs of Life in 2000. Mark Mangold, who wrote with Benny Mardones and Michael Bolton, also performed with American Tears and Touch. Mangold met Zebra's basin of talent, Randy Jackson, in the early '90s, and the two strove to collaborate. Originally reaching out to Brad Delp, the duo instead began working with Terry Brock, (Strangeways, Kansas), who played with Mangold on early Bolton slabs. Jackson drew on his Long Island roots for Blue Öyster Cult drummer Bob Rondinelli. Billy Greer also came from the Kansas camp. ~ Doug Stone, All Music Guide
