lukespoon's Album Review for Get Behind Me Satan

what to make of this!
This White stripes album is clearly different whilst being constant with previous releases at the same time. Evolution as it was meant to be. The White Stripes prove that without technology or messing about on a mixing desk innovation can still be accoplished. More piano, less guitar, more blues, less noise.
This album on first listen could be their best. Particular standouts are "The doorbell", "The denial twist" and "Take, Take, Take".
There are so many facets to this album, blues, country, rock and roll, soul - all in there. It blends together perfectly.
