The Yips

The Columbus, Ohio-based indie duo the Yips were formed in 1995 by singer/guitarist Gilmore Tamny -- an alumna of Mike Rep and the Quotas, as well as the erstwhile publisher of the fanzine Wiglet -- and drummer Jon Davidson. After signing to the Siltbreeze label, the Yips soon issued their first single, "1000% Fox; " their debut LP, Bonfire in a Dixie Cup, followed in 1996. Blue Flannel Bathrobe appeared the next year. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
