Hard to categorize - Pop or Rock?

This is one infectiously catchy album, and an amazing debut for Third Eye Blind. Probably one of the best post grunge albums of its time. What really hits you about this album is the song writting style of these guys -A unique blend of very typical pop written to gut wrenching, moody, mildly disturbing lyrics, something most bands would find hard to mix without ending up with fertilizer. Their sound is something like a cross between U2, Oasis and Dave Matthews Band and are very hard to distinguish between occationally. However, Stephen Jenkins voice more than makes up for that, adding depth and soul to every word in every song. Although every song on this album is good my favourites include "How's It Gonna Be", "Motorcycle Drive By" , "Narcolepsy" to name a few. Enough said, go listen to it.
