ZeeDeevel's Album Review for The Last DJ
""
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers latest release, The Last D.J. somewhat tells a story of the modern collapse of the music industry. The record is a throwback to other Petty work, however has a bit of a modern twist to it. More or less, it's a decent record
The Last DJ somewhat tells the story of the collapse of the modern music industry and the lost art of music. Through Petty's words the record seems to hit home for fans of forgotten music. The album sounds more or less like other Heartbreakers records, but seems to give throwbacks to various styles of music. Songs like the title track, 'Joe', and 'Money Becomes King' are particular highlights, but the album has a suprisingly good flow to it as a whole. All in all, it's far from the best from this band, but for it's timing, a good rock record.

In my mind one of the best greatest hits albums ever. There are so many good songs on this Cd it is hard to get tired of it.
