T.U.G.G. is energy and enthusiasm personified. The Wisconsin based band crunches together the sounds ska, rock, reggae, and hip-hop. This melding of music, while powerful, pales in comparison to the interaction between the band and their fans. In songwriting, life is our biggest influence. We write what is happening in our daily lives, and we play the emotions.” In 2005 T.U.G.G. played 125 shows in 50 cities, across 10 states. Sometimes they went into gigs as an unknown band, but they always left as the crowd favorite. The year was highlighted when the band was booked at the mid-west’s mega-festivals: 10,000 Lakes ,and Rock Fest. A successful 2006 saw T.U.G.G. travel the west coast on their second tour, which included stops at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, and the Key Club in Los Angeles. Over 3000 CDs have been moved into the hands of their loyal fan-base and they have shared the stage with artists like: Slightly Stoopid, Rusted Root, Karl Denson, The Big Wu, The Kingston 10, The Dollyrots, The Know How and many others. Some Day, the single from the band’s 2005 release, Fill The Tank, is featured with national artists on the marketing compilation Decent Xposure Volume 5. The song also gained national attention as a ‘Moment of Greatness’ on the Alan Kabel radio show. The Flow, T.U.G.G.’s debut album, was named a 2004 “CD of the Year” award winner on Kweevak Online, an independent radio station.
