LuckyCurtis's Album Review for Astral Weeks
""
A brilliant multi-use album.
In '79, Lester Bangs wrote a review of this album ten years after it came out. He stated that when it came out, he had been on a real downer for some time and that he credited the album with pulling him out of this funk. The fact that an album could still resonate with a man who's entire life revolved around seeking out the next big thing speaks volumes for the depths of Astral Weeks. This is probably the most complete album he ever made from top to bottom and is a complete departure from his stint with Them or ever his earliest solo efforts. This album can be a back drop for from a quiet Sunday morning of coffee and danishes, to discussing heavy life decisions with your partner, to your best friend's wake, or just standing in the rain, questioning your own existence. It's that good.

Album Review for Van Morrison - A Period of Transition
Defines Van Morrison. Soulful, spirited, with a hint of bar band, balls, the gospel, despair and alcohol.
