Voces del Rancho
Mexican traditional music duet Voces del Rancho was formed by Mariano Fernandez, born in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, and Guadalajara-native Edgar Rodriguez, who met while studying at Bell's High School in California. After signing to Los Angeles-based Cintas Acuario, Voces del Rancho became a regular number in Latin radio stations, soon, climbing charts with "Se Les Pelo Baltazar" and "Los Dos Amigos." The duet's growing popularity allowed them to reach a contract with Sony Discos, recording Mas Fuerte Que Nunca. In 2001 Voces del Rancho was nominated to a Lo Nuestro award for Revelation of the Year in the Regional/Mexican category. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
