In the summer of 2003 Justin started writing with guitarist, Jsin, who had been in other local bands before splitting away to start a new band. By winter, bassist, Matt and drummer, Shawn had joined to collaborate on the process. With many shows currently under their belt and an incredible showcase performance for three major record labels at the Hard Rock Café in Salt Lake City, UT, the band now has the attention of the music industry. In the summer of 2005 Wasting Yesterday competed and won against thirteen other Midwest bands in a Battle of the Bands competition called Progression Through Music II. Wasting Yesterday dominated the stage with their own powerful musical creations combined with an energetic, uninhibited stage show and came away with the experience that poised them for the national stage. Currently the band is putting the finishing touches on the EP Listen which is scheduled for release late summer of 2006.
