Rza at his best!
This album is a classic. Rza went to his roots and brought alot of Wu-Tang members that nobody have ever heard before. Kinda brings back the vibes from the 36 Chambers.
1. The Legacy - AIG kicked off the noise. Great track and I give it 4 stars.
2. Concrete Jungle - Sunz of Man came up strong and Buddah Monk came out sounding like Old Dirt. It gets 4 1/2 stars just from Buddah Monk's part alone.
3. Co-Defendant - In my eyes, the best track on the album! Shyheim and Hell Raizah tag teamed the mess out of this song. A solid 5 stars
4. S.O.S. - Inspectah Deck with Streetlife backing him up in this one. The beat is simple enough, but Deck's lyrics brought it to life. 4 stars.
5. Execute Them - Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Streetlife & Masta Killa brought the purest Wu back in this album. Now how come Wu don't sound like this anymore? A classic 5 stars.
6. Bronx War Stories - A.I.G. again and he brought some tight flows in this one. Pretty decent 3 star song.
7. And Justice for All - Rza, Killarmy, and Mr. Meth. They kicked off that classic Wu again in this one and Meth took his gloves off on this one. Another classic that deserves 5 stars.
8. Punishment - Black Nights Of The Northstar. This group changed their names later on to Northstar and the beat is one that when you hear it for the first time, you want to skip it, but if you give it two minutes, you'll be loving it. It gets 4 stars for replay value.
9. B*stards - B*stads brought a tight keyboard and went wild with it. A great blend and it gets 3 stars.
10. On The Strength - Beggaz brought this one to speed and it's real decent. 3 stars.
11. Cobra Clutch - Ghostface Killah went berserk on this one. He went with no hooks for four minutes straight! He gets 5 stars for not taking a breath.
12. Never Again - Remedy, the first white Wu-Tang member and he makes an awesome entrance! The lyrics are tight and he has a great message in it. A classic 5
13. Where Was Heaven - Wu-Syndicate is one group that came and hid in the shadows. They have great potential, so what's up? They get 4 stars but their own album is almost impossible to find.
14. '97 Mentality - Cappadonna and Ghostface Killa. This song actually was suppose to be on Cappadonna's album, but they placed it on the swarm instead. Don't ask me why? I dunno. But they were tight together, as always. 4 1/2 stars.
15. Fatal Sting - Black Nights Of The Northstar. A decent track to end a tight album. You have to listen to it. 4 stars.
Overall, this is strictly for the hardcore Wu-Tang fans that missed the feel of the 36 Chambers. Right now, Rza is experimenting with beats that are forcing fans to go to Rocafella. But for real hip-hop heads, you will fall in love with this one!
