Yo, Flaco! combines hip-hop, acid jazz, funk, soul, and R&B with a sound that lands somewhere between Digable Planets and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Being a finalist in several national competitions, including a win in the Jim Beam Best Unsigned Band In America competition, led to a grant that furthered their fame and touring capabilities in their native Colorado. Vocalists Neil McIntyre and Doug Lipford rap along to the jazz-flavored band, which includes original members Matt Piazza (keyboards) and Brandon Martin (guitar). Rounding out the lineup is bassist Wes Coplen, percussionist Loren Comfort, saxophonist Ethan Raczka, and trombonist Adam Bartczak.
