Crushstory

After departing from the Reno, NV, pop-punk troupe Zoinks! in 1997, guitarist/vocalist Zac Damon moved on to form Crushstory that same year with guitarist Jim Bowers. Resulting in a package of '60s mod punk and '80s power pop, 702 Records released Crushstory's debut EP as a split with the Gain in 1999 followed by their self-titled CDEP that same year. After a brief tour and critical comparisons to the likes of Weezer, Chisel, and Elvis Costello, Pop Kid Records eventually released the band's first full-length, a+Electric, in mid-2000. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
