With a new studio album with the E Street Band, the Boss is set to play 31 dates starting on Oct. 2, the day the album drops.

Pop stars come and go, but the latter part seems to be all about the legends.

First Neil Young gave word that he has a new album and subsequent tour on the way, and then Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello said they'd be teaming up for a tour.

Now comes word that Bruce Springsteen will be supporting his forthcoming new album with a 31-date tour of the US and Europe. The trek will kick off at the Civic Center in Hartford, Conn. on October 2, the same day Springsteen's new album with the E Street Band, Magic, hits stores.

The tour will wrap up December 19 at London's O2 Arena. Tickets to some US shows go on sale starting September 8.

The first single off Magic, "Radio Nowhere," is available for free download on iTunes for one week starting today.

Tickets for the Oakland concert are $250 and up. I know it's the Boss and all, but that's pretty steep.
