Court grants Kevin Federline the divorced couple's two sons "until further order of the court."

Britney Spears' home is getting emptier by the day.

A court has ordered the pop princess to give up custody of her two children effective Wednesday at noon. Full custody will be left to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, "until further order of the court."

In happier times. In happier times.

The ruling by Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon indicates that Federline's ongoing battle to gain full custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, has paid dividends. As part of his latest move, Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, went to court to raise the issue of Spears driving without a valid driver's license while her children were in the car this past weekend.

The court ruling is yet another blow for Spears since her widely panned comeback performance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. Since then, her management and her attorney have departed and a former bodyguard has accused her of drug and alcohol use in front of her children.

Last month, a judge ordered Spears, 25, to submit to random, twice-weekly drug tests after finding she engaged in "habitual, frequent, and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol." The court also ordered Spears to spend eight hours per week working with a "parenting coach," who was to observe her interactions with her children.

The ruling goes even further than K-Fed's initial request to have custody arrangements (which had originally been 50/50) altered to be 70/30 in his favor. Gordon also told both parents to avoid alcohol and "other nonprescription controlled substances" 12 hours before taking custody of the children.

He further barred the exes from making "derogatory remarks about the other party and the other party's family or significant other" during the case.

Finally, he ordered the parents to go through "joint coparenting counseling" and barred them from using corporal punishment on the boys.

Spears and Federline, 29, were married in October 2004, and their divorce became final in July.
